Description

Rosemary tincture is a concentrated liquid extract made from the leaves of the rosemary herb (Rosmarinus officinalis). It’s known for its potential benefits for memory, circulation, and hair health. Here’s a breakdown:

What it’s made of:

  • Rosemary tincture is primarily made by steeping rosemary leaves in a solvent, most commonly alcohol, to extract the beneficial compounds.
  • Some tinctures may use vegetable glycerin or vinegar as a base for those who prefer alcohol-free options.

Potential benefits:

  • Cognitive function: Rosemary has a long history of use in traditional medicine to improve memory and focus. While research is ongoing, some studies suggest it may enhance cognitive function and memory, especially for those with age-related decline.
  • Circulation: Rosemary may help improve blood circulation, which could benefit conditions like headaches or poor circulation in the extremities.
  • Hair health: Some people use rosemary tincture topically for hair loss or dandruff. Early research suggests it may stimulate hair growth.

How it’s used:

  • Rosemary tincture can be used internally or externally.
  • Internally, it’s typically taken orally by placing a dropperful under the tongue or diluting it in water or juice.
  • Externally, it can be diluted and massaged into the scalp for hair health benefits.
  • The recommended dosage can vary depending on the brand, intended use, and method of application. Always follow the instructions on the label and consult a healthcare professional for specific guidance.

Things to keep in mind:

  • Rosemary tincture, particularly in high doses, can interact with certain medications, especially blood thinners. It’s important to speak with a doctor before using it, especially if you have any underlying health conditions or take prescription drugs.
  • Rosemary may cause side effects like stomach upset or skin irritation in some people. Start with a low dose and discontinue use if you experience any adverse effects.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before using rosemary tincture due to a lack of conclusive research on safety in these cases.

Overall, rosemary tincture is a natural option for those seeking to improve memory, circulation, or hair health. However, it’s vital to consult with a healthcare professional before using it to ensure it’s safe for you and won’t interfere with any medications you’re taking.

We use Non GMO Vodka (Tito’s) for our tinctures. With tinctures, you only have to take a few drops, not teaspoons and is easy to travel with. Store in a cool dark cabinet away from moisture (bathroom is not recommended). You can refrigerate or freeze as well. Your tincture will come in a 2 ounce amber UVA protected bottle.

Directions: take a dropper (1 squeeze) 3 to times a day as needed. It is best to start off slow and adjust your dosage as you see fit. If you have an autoimmune disease you will need to wait 6 to 8 hours between doses to see if it causes a flare. If okay, slowly start taking doses closer together.

If you have any questions please feel free to message us with them. Many Blessings!
